Southport BID are bringing a day of Harry Potter fun to the town centre as part of their week-long Halloween Festival this October half term.
To mark the wizard’s 20th anniversary Harry, Hagrid and Dumbledore will be flying into Southport for an afternoon of tricks treats and surprises. They will be joined by Professor Sprout and her wand making workshop and kids will learn their wizard house with a chance to sit underneath the sorting hat.
Diane Celine Photography, from Wesley Street, will also be on hand for kids to have the chance to dress up as a wizard in their very own photo shoot! Hogwarts Owls will also be joining the fun with some of their special creepy, crawly friends.
Southport’s annual Halloween festival is put on by Southport BID. The festival is now in its 3rd year.
2017’s festival will be made up of a series of great events within the town centre all set to thrill and spook Halloween fans of every age – including a grand central marquee packed with four days of mischievous family fun.

The line-up for this year is looking exciting, with acts for every age – most of which are free and will feature a series of events and performers in and around the town centre and venues.
The festival will kick off with a two-day Indie Horror film festival at The Atkinson – put together with local award-winning filmmakers – and continues throughout the week.
Look out for other great surprises throughout the week including a 16-foot spider roaming the streets on Saturday the 28th, a fire walking contest for Marie Curie and a monster petting zoo.
