TJ Hughes will re-open its famous grotto for the first time in 8 years. The Winter Wonderland themed grotto will open early November with children and families walking through a number of magical scenes before finally visiting Santa in the basement of their London Road Store.
Enlisting the help of Liverpool grotto legend Peter Blazey, who worked on the original Blacklers grotto, TJs are excited to bring the magic of Christmas back to the store.
Peter said, “Attic studio are delighted to be back working our Christmas magic at TJ Hughes flagship store on London Rd. Having built Santa’s grotto here for more than 20 consecutive Christmas’s – it’s good to be back! There will be an element of nostalgia too, thinking back on the 34 years I spent designing and building the Blacklers Grotto.”
The Liverpool TJ’s store will also host a number of Breakfast with Santa sessions at the TJs café across the festive period.
TJ Hughes CEO, Anil Juneja said, “We are absolutely thrilled to bring the grotto back to our founding store. Liverpool residents have so many special memories of visiting the grotto here when they were small and we wanted to help create more wonderful memories for the next generation.”
The grotto is due to open at TJ Hughes London Road store from Monday 6th November.
