Parenting 2000’s mission is to support families when facing the challenges of day to day life.
They are there to support all members of the community, offering services for vulnerable children, young people and families in need.
Parenting 2000 offer a range of various services to aid families in the local community. Some services include:
• Youth Services

– Forest skills
– youth drop-ins and chill-out clubs

• Parent/Carer Courses

– ‘Think Differently Cope Differently’ – a 5 week course helping participants to build resilience and coping skills, therefore helping them to increase their feeling of wellbeing.
– ‘Dads Matter’ – a course for fathers who feel like they need some support with parenting skills.

• Therapeutic Services

– Individual counselling support for all ages.
– Family therapy
– Emotional issues
– Anxiety and stress
– Bullying and harassment
– Domestic abuse
– Bereavement
• Learning and Play Bus
The Parenting 2000 community bus takes innovative learning activities to the communities that need most support.
The Parenting 2000 ‘Learning Bus’ is widely used in youth and family based activities throughout Sefton, helping to facilitate exciting activities and promotion work.
The bus also offers practical and meaningful support for employment, health promotion, information, advice and guidance in a whole range of issues that affect your community.
Look out for Parenting 2000 when they are on the road or make a request that they stop, play and learn in your area soon!

• Child Injury Prevention

– Child Home Saftey Equipment –
Sefton Children’s Centres provide a service to arrange the installation of child home safety equipment to families across the borough.

Equipment available includes: safety gates, fire guards, window locks, cupboard locks, cord winders, bath mats and corner cushions.

• School Uniform Bank
If your child attends school in Sefton and you need help with school uniform, Parenting 2000’s school uniform bank may be a help. They have a selection of pre-loved and out grown school uniform available to all parents and carers for FREE.
